“People always say “Oh I want to meet the ONE or my soul mate and be with them for the rest of my life” but when it gets tough they want to hit the front door. People today do not think about their actions. When I asked my wife to marry me she asked the most important question no woman had ever asked me before, “DO YOU SEE YOURSELF WITH ME 70 YEARS FROM NOW?” The first thought that came to my mind, my heart and out of my mouth was “I can’t see my life without you”. I made a commitment to this person. I don’t know about everyone out there but my word is worth gold. If I give you my word you can take to the bank (for the idiots out there that was metaphorically). I never make a promise I know I might not be able to keep. If I had walked out at the first sign of trouble, I would not have enjoyed all the moments of bliss that my wife has given me. We have an unspoken truth in our relationship, no one abandons ship. Our marriage is our ship, and I am going down with this ship. And I can promise you that my co-captain agrees!
