Day 3 - A letter to your best friend
Dear friends,
What is a best friend? Someone who will always have your back? Someone who’s basically like a member of the family to you? In my opinion, that’s the qualification for any friend. Otherwise, they’re mere acquaintances. I can count the number of friends I have on my two hands. And that’s fine by me. There’s nothing that distinguishes any of you from the other so technically I don’t have a best friend. You’re all in my life for different reasons but the one thing you all have in common is that I trust you. I trust that we can have fun together, whether it’s going hiking or just grabbing lunch. I trust that if I tell you my secrets, you’re not going to spread it to those who would use it against me. I trust that if my car breaks down in the middle of the highway, you’re going to try your best to save me. And I trust that if you ever needed help, you would never hesitate to let me know.
You guys are my support system. You’re with me at my highest points but more importantly, you’re with me at my lowest. To me, we’re all a family. We get annoyed. We disagree. We fight. But we always go back to what’s important. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without every single one of you. Thank you for being my friend.
Love, Arlene
